Erin Helgar is principal designer and founder of Wild Honey Interiors. Years of industry experience working closely with design colleagues, craftspeople, and builders have shaped her creative perspective and given her a practical fluency in construction that informs every stage of her work. Her background in healthcare has shaped her belief that a home should support the health and wellbeing of the people who live in it. At the center of her work is a simple question: how to hold a space and its person as one.
By reading people as carefully as she reads spaces, paying close attention to the unspoken and the why beneath every like and dislike, she finds the details that make a home feel true. She favors authentic materials—natural stone, unlaquered metals, and hardwoods finished without synthetic coatings—and designs around natural light, creating homes that feel grounded, tactile, and connected to the natural world. The result is a sense of ease that is felt before it is explained.
Her inspiration comes from travel and from the garden, both of which teach the same lesson: beauty grows slowly, from good roots.
A colony of wild bees once made their home in a hollow tree outside the studio. They were precise, industrious, and quietly extraordinary. They inspired the name. The relationship with bees has only grown since.
Wild Honey Interiors is named in their honor and in the spirit of work that is patient, purposeful, and worth the wait.
