ABOUT

founder & principal designer

Erin Helgar is principal designer and founder of Wild Honey Interiors. Her path into design began with her own home, a midcentury full gut renovation in 2016 that she helped build as much as design. That experience, deepened over years of working closely with craftspeople and builders, gave her a fluency in construction that informs everything she touches. It revealed something she would spend the next decade refining: how to hold a space and its person as one.

By reading people as carefully as she reads spaces, paying close attention to the unspoken, the instinctive, the why beneath every like and dislike, she finds the details that make a home feel true. The work is rooted in living materials, designed around natural light, and finished with the kind of detail that registers before you can name it. A wholeness you feel before you can explain it.

Her inspiration comes from travel and from the garden, both of which teach the same lesson: that beauty grows slowly, from good roots.

WHY WILD HONEY

our story

A colony of wild bees once made their home in a hollow tree outside the studio, precise, industrious, and quietly extraordinary. They inspired the name. The relationship with bees has only grown since.

Wild Honey Interiors was named in their honor, and in the spirit of work that is patient, purposeful, and worth the wait.

It is a studio for people who sense that a space can hold something more than furniture and finishes, who value what things are made of, and feel the difference between a home that performs luxury and one that actually holds them.

We believe subtlety is intelligence. That materials carry energy. That a space which truly knows you is real luxury.
